CONTACTING THE MOMENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Momence Police Department would like to clarify and explain the process for calling and/or notifying the Momence Police in the event you are in need of police service in the City of Momence.
If you are in need of the police and it is an EMERGENCY, you should immediately call 911; this is a direct and most immediate means of contact when you are in need of the police. This 911 communication will prompt the immediate dispatch of a Momence Police Officer to your call for service in the City of Momence.
The Non-Emergency number for the Momence Police Department is (815) 472-2021. The Administrative Office of the Momence Police Department is NOT staffed 24 hours a day. When you call the non-emergency number and no one is in the office you will receive voice direction after 4 rings. You will be advised that if your call is an EMERGENCY to hang-up and dial 911.
If you are in need of the police for a non-emergency problem, you will be directed to press "1" to speak to a Kan-Comm Dispatcher. Pressing "1" will connect you directly to a Kan-Comm Dispatcher who will assist you in communicating with a Momence Police Officer.
Please remember that in an EMERGENCY, or if you are calling to report a crime, a suspicious person, suspicious activity, or any activity that requires an immediate police response you should dial 911.
